Part of giving you the best service that I can, is sharing with you from the very start a bit about who I am, what I value, and what I stand for.
This is because the services that I offer are deeply personal and significant. The ceremonies you are asking me to write and officiate - whether it be your marriage ceremony or celebrating the life of your loved one, are incredibly special and deserve the upmost honour and care.
Likewise with my MC services - If I'm representing your community or business group by facilitating an event, or continuing the celebration at your reception, you want to know what I am about, and if I match your kinda vibe!
These values are a snapshot of how I aim to conduct myself in both my professional and personal life. They are also the foundation of how I do this work. If these values resonate with you, then you can trust that I am the best celebrant for you.

Life affirming ceremonies that celebrate exactly you. That's what I'm all about.
If you are getting married, I want to celebrate your love, the life you are building together, and your dreams for the future. To be celebrated for who you are and who you love, is to feel truly seen - that's how I want your marriage ceremony to feel!
If I have the honour of celebrating your loved one through my funeral or memorial work, I am going to commemorate their legacy and celebrate a life well lived. I want everyone attending this ceremony to feel like they have permission to celebrate who their loved one was, the life they lived, and how their legacy will live on for those who loved them.
This value also extends to me celebrating diversity and inclusivity. I am committed to celebrating and championing those of us who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community. Those who identify as neurodivergent or disabled, you are my people as well. I love ya, and I want to work with ya!
Crafting a ceremony from start to finish scratches a creative itch in my brain that's just really satisfying for me. No, I won't ever use AI to write your ceremony. This is a creative joy that I will not be giving to the robots, please and thank you.
I'm not going to do something just because tradition says. I'm always up for doing things differently. However, if a particular tradition resonates with you, then let's do it. I want you to feel empowered in your ceremony choices and have agency to do what feels right. I have ideas, you have ideas. Let's make it happen.
Growing up a committed theatre kid, I have honed the skills of how to engage an audience and bring them along the journey. I know how to create and keep the right atmosphere and flow when officiating a ceremony. I have a really good public speaking voice. Going off script if we need to will not stress me out. All these creative skills are very handy for celebrant and MC work!
Ceremonies, projects and events that bring people together? Love it. Supporting a local business? Always. I love this island and the North West Coast with my whole heart. If there's a way I can support local community through my work, I'll do it.
I also deeply value community over competition. I share this value with many celebrants and vendors across our beautiful state, and it is one of the key reasons I am so proud to be a celebrant in Tasmania. I celebrate and cheer on those in both the Tasmanian Wedding and Funeral industry. I also encourage you to find a celebrant that fits your needs and wants, regardless of if that is me or not.
I really care about celebrant work. I believe that celebrants play a key role in bringing communities together in facilitating significant ceremonies. Getting to know you, your loved one and being trusted with your stories is a privilege, and one that I will always treat with the upmost care, respect and professionalism.
I have worked professionally in the community services sector for many years. This might be more relevant to my funeral and memorial work, but that career has equipped me with what's needed to sit and listen to those who are grieving. I am confident in facilitating conversations with groups of people who need to discuss hard things and are dealing with all kinds of emotions. I can sensitively navigate complex family dynamics. I am always warm, empathetic and non-judgemental. If someone needs it, I can connect them to appropriate local support services.
I understand and care about practicing safe professional boundaries. I know how to look after myself to keep from burn out. I also care about and understand the importance of privacy and confidentiality in all areas of my celebrant work.
I am a happy, bubbly person who values kindness and cheerfulness, always. Because that makes life better. I'm always up for sharing a belly laugh. Feeling nervous or overwhelmed? I'm going to meet you where you're at with a smile and do whatever is needed to help you be comfortable and confident. I'll also bring the party if the party is needed!
Do my values resonate with you? Let's work together!
